HOW YOU CAN HELP

VHVH clients have served their country honorably and deserve our help in regaining their independence, self sufficiency and quality of life. VHVH’s largest funder is the Veterans Administration, which provides a per diem rate per resident. While VA funding covers the basic costs of our services, it has not kept pace with the rising costs of everything from utilities to meals for our veterans. Private fundraising is necessary to address ongoing needs such as maintenance and upkeep of the shelter’s rooms, furnishings, common areas and outdoor spaces; updating of the building’s security surveillance system; and providing transportation to VA and other medical appointments and to job sites.
